Paul is a passionate and professional Remedial Massage Therapist - Accredited for Remedial, Therapeutic & Sports Massage, Muscular Corrective Therapy, REIKI and Counseling.
Growing up in a spiritual family in Belgrave my introduction into the world of alternative healing and personal development began in 1996 while participating in many group Holistic Counseling intensives; which led to the completion of a 200hr experiential Emotional Facilitation course in 1998 with Gayle & Graeme at Phoenix Rising Aust.
Receiving certification in Group & Family Counseling, as well as gaining experience with healing physical and emotional trauma through Gestalt Therapy, TRE and SomatoEmotional Bodywork and Rebirthing, Time Line Therapy and much more.
As I went through several years of group counseling, learning and applying these beautiful methods of healing, I became very passionate about supporting others - which led to the discovery of my life purpose... BODYWORK!
Martine is such a loving teacher and one of the first to practice and teach Reiki in Australia, with direct lineage to Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki.
In early 2003 I moved to Wagga Wagga, and lived and worked with an esteemed Remedial Practitioner, (the late) Trevor Kendall, and his family.
I underwent extensive apprenticeship style training under his instruction, working with his clients, mainly local farmers, townsfolk and footy players..
Learning many advanced sports/remedial techniques including specialized Soft-tissue Manipulation (Lester Cox), Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Facilitated Stretching/Muscle Energy techniques and the skills necessary to treat clients suffering from many different physical issues -- establishing me as a professional in the industry.
From 2004-2010 I ran a small mobile massage and family counseling service - (on the side of full time chef work) around the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
During this time-span I attended Anthony Robbins' Mastery University, studied NLP and certified as a Life Coach. I've been practicing Ho'oponopono for 9 years.
Focusing solely on Life Coaching online throughout 2010-2013, while taking a break from hands on therapies, I self-published many blog articles, a regular newsletter, coaching packages, and authored a book on heart-mind connection.
With my passion reignited, in 2013/14 I went on to become a qualified Sports Massage Therapist at the world renowned Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy and was privileged to have been coached by highly respected professionals who've worked at elite national and international sporting events, including the Olympics and Australian Tennis Open.
During my training at MIMT, I was given the opportunity to volunteer with the Melbourne Victory F.C. under head Physio Travis Maude.
I performed training massages, pre-event and post-event strapping and sports massage with elite athletes, and learned how to prevent, treat and manage injuries with some of the best Sports Therapists in Melbourne.
Wanting to further my understanding of Soft-tissue Manipulation techniques to help people dealing with chronic pain, I went directly to Lester Cox and his senior instructors Debra Schnepper and Eric Katz, and became a certified Muscular Corrective Therapist.
Lester Cox was in practice for over 35 years out in Bairnsdale. The since retired Naturopath and Remedial Masseur developed his unique technique, which has helped many thousands of patients who can readily attest to its effectiveness.
I'm very fortunate to have received Lester's personal attention in honing my skills as a Remedial Bodyworker.
2017 marks the completion of the Dip. of Remedial Massage at MIMT.
This was the logical next step to becoming a recognized provider along-side my peers in the profession and has expanded my anatomy knowledge and my understanding of remedial assessment and treatment protocols.
With two decades of experience supporting people in group settings and one-to-one as an emotional facilitator and massage therapist and dealing with a full spectrum of emotional and physical health issues - you know you're in safe hands...
