Paul is a passionate and professional & accredited Remedial Massage Therapist with over two decades of complementary healthcare experience.
Growing up in an alternative family in Belgrave my introduction into the world of "healing" and personal development began in 1996 while participating in many group Holistic Counseling intensives; which led to the completion of a 200hr experiential Emotional Facilitation course in 1998 with Gayle & Graeme at Phoenix Rising Aust.
Receiving certification in Group & Family Counseling, and gaining experience with healing physical/emotional trauma through Gestalt Therapy, somatoemotional bodywork and much more.
As I went through several years of group counseling, learning and applying these beautiful methods of healing, I became very passionate about supporting others - which led to the discovery of my life purpose... BODYWORK!
In 2002/03 through the guidance of Reiki Master Teacher Martine Salerno - I was attuned as a Second Degree Practitioner with direct lineage to Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki.
In early 2003 I underwent extensive apprenticeship style training under the instruction of esteemed remedial practitioner, (the late) Trevor Kendall, working directly with his clients, learning many advanced sports/remedial techniques including specialized soft-tissue manipulation, along with the skills necessary to treat clients suffering from many different physical issues -- establishing me as a professional in the industry.
From 2004-10 I ran a small mobile massage and family counseling service part time around the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
During this time period I attended many healing and self development workshops including Anthony Robbins' Mastery University and certified as a Life Coach.
Over the years I self-published many blog articles, a regular newsletter, and authored a book on heart-mind connection.
I've been practicing Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) & Ho'oponopono for 10 years.
In 2013/14 I went to formally study to become a qualified Sports Massage Therapist at the world renowned Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy and was privileged to have been coached by highly respected professionals who've worked at elite national and international sporting events.
During my training at MIMT, I was given the opportunity to volunteer with the Melbourne Victory F.C. under the guidance of top Physiotherapists, performing Sports Massage.
Wanting to further hone my soft-tissue manipulation skills to help people dealing with chronic pain, I went directly to Lester Cox and his senior instructors to become a certified Muscular Corrective Therapist.
Returning to MIMT in 2017 marks the completion of the Dip. of Remedial Massage.
This was the logical next step to becoming a recognized provider along-side my peers in the profession, expanding my anatomy knowledge and understanding of remedial assessment/treatment protocols.
With two decades of experience supporting people in group settings and one-to-one as an emotional facilitator and massage therapist and dealing with a full spectrum of emotional and physical health issues - you know you're in safe hands...
